As of today 61 of you have submitted your project wish list! So be sure to send in your selections as soon as possible.
We have set up a listserve for the group and you should all have gotten a welcome email by now. If you have not received one yet, please let us know at emergingleaders@princetonlibrary.org and you will be added to the list.

Just added, new project from IFRT.
We understand there is a problem leaving comments. We're checking on this.
Meantime, 12 of you have put in your wish list for projects. We will be setting up the distribution list to let people (who weren't watching on their own) know that the projects are posted.

Directions for Bidding on a Project
There are 36 project ideas listed.
**You will be put on a project team and we welcome your suggestions about which team you would like to be part of.
**YOU MAY NOT BE ASSIGNED TO THE PROJECT OF YOUR CHOICE. We will do our best to make everyone happy, but
**only the sponsored people are pretty sure of getting on a project suggested by their division. (If you are sponsored by a division which has suggested projects, and you would rather work on a different project, please consult with your division.)
So, you have 10 POINTS to spend in your bidding. You may spend all 10 points on one project, or 1 point on 10 projects, or any combination of numbers adding up to 10.
Please note that even if you spend all your points on one project, you may not be assigned to that project if 20 other people did the same thing! Do you see the problem?
The Process:
On December 6, if all goes well, the first groups will be formed from all the responses we have received to that point. Here’s what may happen.
**Groups will be comprised of 5-6, 3-4, or 1-2 people.
**People in groups of 1-2 will be asked to choose which of the other groups they would prefer to be part of. As the groups are formed, some people will be assigned as necessary.
**By December 15 we hope that everyone will be assigned to a group.
Fill in the Word document and send to emergingleaders@princetonlibrary.org.

It could happen any time...

So the group has been chosen. Now what?
Now you contact your sponsor if you have one and make arrangements for the sponsorship.
You make transportation and hotel arrangements for Seattle. You have already registered for the ALA Midwinter Conference, haven’t you?
Our program is on Friday, January 19 at the Seattle Public Library. It begins with coffee and registration at 8:30 a.m. by the auditorium and ends (for that day) at 5:00 p.m. after the reception.
The next event is to post the projects and invite you to choose which ones you might like to work on. You will be in a team of 5-6 people.
Here's what will and won't happen with the projects:
What Will Happen:
Sponsored individuals will get assigned to one of the projects of their sponsoring group, if there is one. You will still have to respond and say which project you will be working on.
What Might Happen (or might not):
You get on a project team that was your first, second, or third choice.(If you have never worked on a project that wasn't your choice, this might be the time for that experience.) Look at it this way: we have 30 projects to choose from and 100+ people doing the choosing. What are the odds that all 100 people will arrange themselves neatly into 20 teams of 5? We will do the best we can to make everyone happy, but we'd be grateful for cheerful acquiescence!
What comes next?
In a day or three, the list of projects will be on the blog and you will have a chance to indicate your preference(s). And soon there may be a suggested reading or two.
Stay tuned...
